Tasting Notes: Hand harvested from the mangrove sanctuaries of El Salvador, Mangrove Sea Salt is a fluffy, moist salt that is similar to traditional Fleur de Sel. The salty, clean flavor and soft texture is the result of a natural filtering process into man-made salt ponds. The delicate crystalline grains that form at the top of the water are carefully skimmed off, preserving the trace minerals of the tropical seawater. Mangrove Sea Salt works best as a finishing salt but can add flavor to both sweet and savory foods, such as seafood and grilled meat, vegetables and salads, cinnamon-spiked desserts—even caramels and chocolates for homemade holiday gifts.
